Complex industrial wastewater, turned into reusable water and saleable salt
Almost anyone can evaporate a brine to dryness. Very few can run zero liquid discharge and hand you a single salt clean enough to have a market. That gap is where we work. It is the difference between a disposal cost and a revenue line.
Zero liquid discharge that ends in a product
JINGYU designs, builds and operates treatment plants for the industrial water nobody else wants to take on. High salinity, refractory organics, heavy metals, and a discharge permit that is no longer available.
The output is not just clean water. It is five industrial salts to national standards, and on many sites those salts are sold rather than buried.
We hold the operating contracts on eighteen of the plants we built. That is why the designs look the way they do.
Most zero liquid discharge plants produce a waste
The hard part is not reaching dryness. It is what the solid turns out to be.
Brine arriving at a crystallizer usually still carries refractory organics and a mix of chloride and sulfate. Whatever crystallizes is a stained blend, and a blend has no buyer at any price. So it goes to hazardous landfill, and that cost never stops.
Reverse any of those three and nothing throws an alarm. The plant simply costs more to run and produces something nobody wants. That sequence is the technology, and it is why we prefer to carry the whole scope rather than one stage of it.
Five salts, to national standards
These are the by-products our plants produce, and where they go. Purity is stated against Chinese national standards.
Several projects sell into these markets under long-term off-take agreements. The full specifications are on our zero liquid discharge page.
The Yitai fine chemicals ZLD plant has run continuously since 2018, treating up to 43,200 m³/d and recovering more than 98% of the salt as product.
Pilot data is easy. An operating record measured in years is not, and it is the reference clients ask for first.
Who we build for
Coal chemical groups, mining companies, steel and non-ferrous producers, waste-to-energy operators and municipal utilities. Several of these relationships run across more than one plant.

What we built for each of them, with capacity, recovered salt and operating dates, is on the projects page.

Frequently asked questions
What does JINGYU do?
We design, build and operate treatment plants for complex industrial wastewater, with a focus on zero liquid discharge and turning the recovered salt into a saleable product. More than 140 projects delivered, 45 of them integrated ZLD systems.
What makes JINGYU different from other water contractors?
Two things. We separate the salt rather than crystallizing a mixed solid, so the residue has a market. And we operate eighteen of the plants we built, so our designs are made by people who pay the running costs.
Do you work outside China?
Our delivered projects are in China, where the hardest industrial water in the world is currently treated at scale. The International Business Division was established in 2025 to bring the same capability to clients abroad.
How can I be contracted with you?
From a single process package or equipment supply, through EPC and EPC plus operation, to investment models such as BOO and BOT, and operation of plants somebody else built.
How long does a project take?
A containerized mobile unit is built in 90 days. A full zero liquid discharge plant is typically two to three years from contract to startup, and the schedule is usually set by site conditions rather than the water technology.
Where should I start on this site?
With your industry if it is listed, because that page explains what limits your water. Otherwise send an analysis and we will tell you which of our references is the closest match.
Send us the water, not the enquiry form

An analysis tells us more in thirty seconds than a brochure request does in a week. Send what you have, even if it is partial, and tell us what the plant has to achieve.
Useful to include
- Your industry and process
- Flow rate and TDS
- Ion balance, COD and hardness
- Discharge limit or reuse target
- New plant, retrofit, or a plant that underperforms
