Industrial wastewater treatment fails for different reasons in different industries. Coal chemical brine is limited by organics, mine water by hardness, smelting brine by metals. The packages are the same; what they are sized against is not.
Why industrial wastewater treatment is organised by sector
Every difficult water has one thing that decides the plant. Find it, and the rest of the design follows. Miss it, and no amount of equipment compensates.
That limiting factor is usually consistent within an industry and different between industries, which is why these pages are organised this way.
Each page explains what limits the water in that sector, which packages address it, and what has been built. If your industry is not listed, the water still matters more than the label.
Three limits, and every industry sits on one of them
Nobody's water is difficult in a general way. It is difficult for one specific reason.
Across eight sectors and more than 140 projects, the thing that caps a plant is almost always one of three. Which one it is tells you more about the design than the industry name does.
So the first question we ask is never which industry you are in. It is which of these three is holding your plant back, and the answer comes out of an analysis rather than a sector name.

Each page explains what limits the water and lists the plants delivered.
High salinity, refractory organics and a reuse mandate in one stream. Nine plants delivered, one running over eight years continuously.
Scaling caps the recovery long before salinity does. Five plants delivered, up to 3,000 m³/h, including the first mine water ZLD in China.
Heavy metals and 180 g/L of salt in the same stream. The highest by-product salt output of any JINGYU project, at 99% recovery.
China's first salt separation ZLD project in the sector, and an ethylene complex in commissioning at 84 g/L feed TDS.
Four separate salts out of one plant, and the first full-scale ZLD to run successfully in China's fertilizer industry.
The largest photovoltaic wastewater ZLD plant in the world, at 18,408 m³/d with 95% salt recovery.
Several producers, one water balance. A 25,000 m³/d scheme now covers around half of one park's industrial water demand.
Around 90% leachate recovery, and seven fly ash recovery sites under construction for Shanghai.
Including 45 integrated zero liquid discharge systems, 18 of which JINGYU operates under long-term contracts.

Which industries does JINGYU work in?

Does the technology change between industries?
The packages do not change; the sizing and the sequence do. What differs is what limits the stream. Coal chemical brine is limited by refractory organics, mine water by hardness and silica, metallurgical brine by heavy metals and extreme salinity.
My industry is not listed. Does that mean you cannot help?
Not necessarily. What matters is the water rather than the sector name. Send an analysis and we will tell you which of our existing references is the closest technical match.
