It was the first zero liquid discharge project in China's petrochemical industry to separate its salt into single species rather than crystallizing a mixed solid for landfill.
What was JINGYU's scope at Dongming?
Process package plus core equipment supply, rather than full construction. The plant treats 4,520 m3/d at TDS 28 g/L and recovers 14.7 kt/a of sodium chloride and 28.2 kt/a of sodium sulfate.
What is the status of the Dushanzi project?
In commissioning. It started construction in 2024 and is scheduled to start up in 2026, treating 2,020 m3/d at TDS 84 g/L.
Why is refinery brine different?
The organic load is different in character from coal chemical brine, which changes what the purification stage has to remove before crystallization.
