1. Who we are

This website is operated by Shanghai Jingyu Environmental Engineering Co., Ltd., referred to here as JINGYU, we or us. We are registered in Shanghai, China, and our registered office is in the Baoshan District. You can reach us at info@jing-yu.com or on +86 21 6593 0816.

For the purposes of data protection law, JINGYU is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. What we collect

We collect three kinds of information, and only what we need.

• Information you give us. Your name, company, job title, email address, telephone number, country, and whatever you write in an enquiry message.
• Technical data about your water. Flow rates, water analyses, process descriptions, drawings and any other document you attach to an enquiry.
• Information collected automatically. IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived at the site. This comes from cookies and analytics, and it is not used to identify you personally.

We do not collect payment details through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen.

3. Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a technical response or proposal.
• To contact you about a project you have asked us about.
• To keep a record of correspondence relating to a commercial relationship.
• To understand which parts of this site are useful, so we can improve them.
• To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.

We rely on your consent when you submit an enquiry form, and on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and maintaining the site. Where a contract exists, we also process data to perform it.

4. Your technical data stays confidential

Water analyses, process data and drawings sent with an enquiry are treated as commercially confidential. They are shared only with the JINGYU engineers working on your enquiry, and they are not passed to any third party, published, or used as a reference without your written agreement.

If you would like a formal confidentiality agreement in place before sending technical data, ask us and we will sign one.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

We share it only with service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, email provider and analytics provider, each acting on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

6. International transfers

JINGYU is based in China, so information you send us is processed in China. Some of our service providers operate in other countries. Where information moves across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard described in this policy.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and would like details of the safeguards applied, write to us and we will provide them.

7. Cookies

This site uses cookies that are necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies that tell us which pages are read. Analytics cookies do not identify you by name.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

8. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead anywhere: up to twenty-four months, then deleted.
• Enquiries that become projects: for the life of the commercial relationship and the period afterwards required by law or by the contract.
• Analytics data: up to twenty-six months in aggregated form.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
• delete your data, where we have no continuing need for it;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time.

Write to info@jing-yu.com and we will respond within thirty days. There is no charge. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.

10. Security

We use access controls, encrypted connections and internal handling rules to protect the information you send us. No transmission over the internet is entirely secure, so if you are sending something highly sensitive, tell us and we will arrange a secure transfer instead of email.

11. Links to other sites

This site links to external pages, including patent records and industry bodies. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, and their own privacy policies apply.

12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be signalled on this page.
